This is a beautiful specimen of True Midges preserved in Baltic Amber. There are at least five insects entombed in the fossil "ooze". The golden piece of amber has been polished for optimal display. The insects are very easily seen, with the naked eye, in the beautiful chunk of fossil tree resin. The insects exhibit fine detail. This is a very interesting piece of Baltic Amber with many insects.
