This is a very nice insect in Baltic Amber. It is a wasp (Hymenoptera) from Russia. Wasps are very uncommon in Baltic Amber and usually display poorly. This specimen exhibits excellent detail. The head, body, legs, and transparent wings are present. The curled antennae make for an interesting display. The wasp is easily seen in the piece of amber. This is a wonderful wasp in Baltic Amber.
