This is a rare inclusion in Baltic Amber. It is a mass of mammal hair from Russia. It is very rare to find traces of animals other than insects in amber. This mass of hair has a main mass and many individual hairs. DNA could possibly be extracted in the future (remember Jurassic Park?). This is a very rare find and the only example we have ever had (close-up photo is included for free).
