This is a very collectible amber fossil. It is a pair of Mating Midges (Chironomidae) in Baltic Amber. These lovebirds were trapped while in the throes of passion. You can easily see the large, U-shaped genitalia of the male. Also, these two little fornicators are encased in a HUGE piece of amber - 2.2 inches long! This is a very rare and collectible inclusion caught in fossil amber (close-up photo is included for free).
