This is an excellent insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Sand Fly (Psychodidae) from Russia. This type of fly is distinguished by its distinct wing pattern. This fly has great wings and fine overall detail. Even the antennae are nicely shown. The Sand Fly is well posed in the amber and appears to be flying. The insect is easily seen in the piece of amber. This is a very detailed Sand Fly in Baltic Amber. A close-up photo will be included at no cost.
