This is a great example of a Fungus Gnat (Mycetophilidae) preserved in Baltic Amber. The insect has fabulous detail. The head, legs, and wings are all well displayed. Even the segmented antennae are quite evident. The fly is easily seen in the amber piece. This is a wonderful specimen of a Fungus Gnat entrapped in Baltic Amber (close-up photo of the Fungus Gnat will be included at no charge).
