This is an excellent insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Sand Fly (Psychodidae) from Russia. This type of fly is distinguished by its distinct wing pattern. This fly has great wings and fine overall detail. It is nicely displayed in the large amber piece. This is a super Sand Fly in amber (close-up photo is included for free).
