This is a beautiful fly in Baltic Amber. It is a large Crane Fly from Russia. Crane Flies are uncommon in amber because they are large and have long legs. This specimen has super detail - the legs, wings, and antennae are almost perfectly preserved. The fly is easily seen in the large amber piece. It is a very collectible example is a fossil Crane Fly (close-up photo is included for free).
