This is a VERY detailed insect in Baltic Amber. It is a True Midge (Chironomidae) from Russia. This fly has great detail, and was trapped in a very displayable pose. There is also a Fungus Gnat preserved in the piece. This is an excellent pair of insects in amber (close-up photo is included for free.)
