This is a nice insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Biting Midge (Ceratopogonidae) from Russia. This specimen has good detail on the wings, legs, and antennae. Since it is a Biting Midge, it could still have blood in the gut for DNA extraction (Jurassic Park). This is a nice insect trapped in amber (close-up photo is included for free).
