This is a nice fly in a large Baltic Amber piece. It is a Long-Legged Fly (Dolichopodidae) from Russia. This fly was trapped in a large piece of fossil amber. The fly has good detail and displays well. It is nicely centered and is easily seen in the amber piece. This is a very good example of an insect in amber (close-up photo is included).
