This is an excellent insect in Baltic Amber. It is a Long-Legged Fly from Russia. This specimen has incredible detail - you can even see the hairs on the back and legs. The fly is beautifully preserved, and the pose is the classic "flying" position. It is easily seen with the naked eye in the amber piece. This is a fabulous insect trapped in fossil amber (close-up photo is included).
