This is an excellent Baltic Amber fossil. It is a HUGE chunk of golden amber from Russia. There is good value in the weight of this amber piece alone. But trapped inside, there is a beautiful Sand Fly (Psychodidae) and an excellent Fungus Gnat (not pictured). The Sand Fly has great detail. The wonderful pose displays the unique wing pattern beautifully. This is a very large amber piece with excellent insects trapped inside (close-up photo is included).
