This is an excellent insect in Baltic Amber. It is a True Midge (Chironomidae) from Russia. This specimen has super detail, especially the wings, legs, and antennae. The midge is easily seen in the amber piece. This is a great example of a True Midge trapped in amber (close-up photo is included).
