This is a very collectible amber fossil. It is a pair of Mating Fungus Gnats (Mycetophilidae) in Baltic Amber. These lovebirds were trapped while in the throes of passion. You can easily where their genitalia are attached. And, wow, look at the detail of both bugs! These two little fornicators are entombed in this beautiful honey-colored amber nugget for eternity. There are also other insects trapped in the amber piece. This is a very rare and collectible "moment in time" trapped forever in fossil amber.
