This is an excellent Wasp (Hymenoptera) and Parasitic Mite (Acari) in Baltic Amber. The wasp has great detail - the antennea and LONG stinger are easily seen. The Mite also has fine detail. Mites feed on the life fluids of flies and other insects. The specimens are beautifully spaced in the amber piece. This is an unusual association of insect/arachnid caught in Baltic Amber (close-up photo is included for free).
