Here is a rare insect nymph in amber. It is a Cicada Nymph (Auchenorrhyncha) from Russia. This specimen exhibits very fine detail. The segmentation of the body is wonderfully displayed. Even the individual hairs on the legs are quite distinct. The insect nymph is easily seen in the polished piece of fossil tree resin. There is also another insect present in the honey-colored fossil "ooze". This is a very unusual insect entrapped in a pretty piece of Baltic Amber. Close-up photo will be included for free.
