Here is a cool Spider (Araneae) trapped in Burmese Amber. Amber from this area is Cretaceous in age, meaning it is from the time of the dinosaurs! This large nugget of fossilized tree resin has been highly polished on all sides for optimal display. The distinct spider is well preserved and exhibits fine detail - the LONG legs and even the eyes of the spider are very easily seen. This is a very nice example of a large spider entombed in fossilized tree resin. (Large close-up photo is included for free.)
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
