This is a very cool insect in amber. It is a fine Cockroach (Blattodea) from Russia. This distinct specimen is large and displays well in the amber piece. The roach can be viewed dorsally or ventrally, which is quite unusual. The close-up photo shows the ventral side - note the amazing detail.
