Name:
Leaf in Amber
Age: Oligocene
Formation: Amber Mines
Location: Dominican Republic
Size: Amber piece is 1.25 inches long
Price: $199.00
This is a fabulous example of a leaf trapped in amber. It is a rare wide leaf from an unknown Oligocene plant. Plants are unusual fossils in amber because they would have had to have fallen into the sap instead of crawling or flying into it. This leaf has great detail and is very well defined. The leaf is easily seen trapped within the amber piece. This is a very fine specimen of a fossil leaf preserved in Dominican Amber (small close-up photo is included for free).
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
