This is an extremely unusual insect trapped in Dominican Amber. There is a killer Bark Louse (Psocoptera) fossilized in this Dominican Amber piece. The insect is beautifully preserved and retains extremely nice detail. The insect is very easily seen trapped within the cognac-colored amber piece along with a grotesque Fungus Gnat (pictured). This is a beautiful example of a strange insect entombed in Oligocene-age amber. (small close-up photo is included for free)

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
