Very Detailed Scuttle Fly with HUGE Eyes Preserved

This is a very uncommon fossil insect in amber. It is a large Scuttle Fly (Phoridae) from the Baltic Coast of Russia. This specimen has great detail - minure hairs are even preserved. The large compound eyes are extremely easy to see. The distinct fly is well displayed, trapped within the amber piece. This is a very nice example of a rare Scuttle Fly in Baltic Amber.
