This is a very detailed fly in Baltic Amber. It is a nice Sand Fly (Psychodidae) from Russia. This specimen has great detail, displaying the wings, legs, and antennae. The fly is nicely positioned in the honey-colored amber piece and is visible to the naked eye! This is a fine example of a fly trapped in Baltic Amber.
