This is a nice amber piece with multiple insects. It is a swarm of Gall Midges (Cecidomyiidae) from the Dominican Republic. There are at least five midges trapped in the amber piece. One midge in particular has excellent detail and displays beautifully. This is a nice swarm of flies preserved in "fossil ooze" (close-up photo of the single gnat included for free).
