This is an unusual insect larva in Baltic Amber. It is a Beetle Larva (Coleoptera) from Russia. Larvae are rare in amber because they didn't stay in that stage of growth very long. This specimen has excellent detail and was fossilized nice and straight in the amber piece. This is a collectible insect larva from the Baltic Coast of Russia (close-up photo is included for free).
