This is a rare double specimen of Beetles (Coleoptera) entombed in amber from Myanmar (Burma). Amber from this area is Cretaceous in age, meaning it is from the time of the dinosaurs! The nugget of fossilized tree resin has been highly polished on all sides to reveal the fine detail of the insect inclusions. These Beetles are easily seen and well showcased in the honey-colored nugget of amber. This is a distinct pair of Beetles trapped in Burmese Amber (large close-up photo is included for free).
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
